Murmur

Murmurs during the night. A murmur is what we say to ourselves, words that come out of our mouth like gardens of flowers, sometimes like hurtful thorns and other times like delicate petals. When I painted the lady in the portrait she was living her last months of life after being diagnosed with an illness. She was at peace and authentic about her experience. Her words were of love and truth which felt like gardens of flowers in an intimate setting.

Murmuro o susurro. Las palabras están representadas por las flores que salen de su boca. Los pensamientos y sentimientos que susurramos, cosas que solo hablamos por la noche, que salen en sueños, que se aclaran bajo las estrellas.
